That's quite an impressive lineup, which is your favorite? Or is that an impossible question?

Not an impossible question.

The Elan. Period.

Never been happier going slower!

The poise, feeling and balance is just all there.

The twin cam engine is lovely, but you do have to keep the revs up.

Snickety gearbox and perfect heel & toe pedals.

The smell is so evocative (over a certain age ;-)

And the shape.... My favourite bit. As a kid, my 4 favourite cars were a Muira, Ghibli, M1 and the Elan+2. They seem perfect from every angle.

Ah yes, that intoxicating mix of leather and petrol that you always seem to get with 60's cars

Beautiful collection. I'm trying to persuade my Dad to have a bid on that Ronnie Petersen Elan coming up soon. He's quite tempted by a Carlton too (and has no idea I've just bought a Lotus).

For shits and giggles:

Original Elan was 1,422mm wide, the +2 was 1,676. The original is only an inch wider than a Mini!

The Evora is 1,848mm - so 420mm wider!

A Ferrari of the period, picked at random, 365 Daytona was 1,786mm wide - The 599 was 1,962mm wide

The original 3 series was 1,610mm wide and the current is 1,811mm wide. An M4 is 1,870mm wide.

An Alfa Romeo is 1,864mm wide - 2,090 including mirrors!
