Excel Doors

I have finally sourced some Door Bars as mine are rotted through, but cleaning the car yesterday i have noticed that my Door frames are now rotting. On top of this my door locks are also broken so I can't lock the car.

Does anyone know where I can get the window frames? I also need the door handle assembly with locks and N/S internal switchgear and elec window assembly!

Any help is greatly appreciated (especially if you know someone who can do the work cheap (Gerald is not taking on new work at present))

If you need window frames now, you will have to go to LotusBits and get a set from car that has been broken. The quality may or may not be better than the ones you have in at the moment  I got lucky in the one I replaced. No-one at present remanufactures them. Angus on LotusExcel.net has been trying to get some manufactured - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1579561. I was discussing this with @top-plumber for the Esprit & Excel last Sunday as he has made a rather natty gear surround (not in the classifieds yet) that he has for sale  I'm hoping he'll take up the challenge.

Door handles can be had from SJs (new?) or Lotusbits. I also got a new (2nd hand) book lock from Lotusbits. Ring them up and tell them what you need and they will most likely have it in stock. I'd advise the new exterior handles from Sjs over 2nd hand ones as the 2nd hand ones I bought for both sides are still quite weak.
