elite/eclat s1 carpet pieces - fitment

Recommended Posts

hi all.

I recieved my carpet set from coverdale, seems pretty good, though if i was doing it again id probably go for a posher carpet (just got the cheap one) but seems good value.

Im a bit confused about some of the bits tho as nothing is labelled.

firstly how the seat mounting hump cover pieces fit.. heres a picture of what i think :-

if this is right they need a bit of fettling.. the sewed seams dont seem to make sense re. the hump (too far apart to fit its contours.. but maybe theyre not supposed to)

additionally i have some other pieces im confused about, a hockey stick shaped bit, untrimmed, and a rectangle, also untrimmed..

does anyone have detailed photos of their footwells/carpet fitment?

 cheers.

Mark

That looks about right from memory.  My car had carpet on the upright bodywork  under the  front edge of the rear seats, while it looks from the pic like yours doesn't -  so that is two pieces extra you may have.

ahh.. ok, the rectangle piece does look about right for the base of the seat. the hockey stick bit still makes no sense.  also..

the inner sill piece stops before it reaches the back of the footwell, about half way along the outer kick panel when installed.. did the elites kick panel reach the floor or something covering this?

Hi Mark - I'm hoping to get a carpet set from Coverdale for my very good friend Linford (below) which I've owned since 1985

How did they end up? Did you solve the puzzle? Bit concerned about the inner sill bit not reaching the back of the footwell
