Parts bin specials

I saw this thread over on Pistonheads, makes quite good reading. I always like to have a few examples of these in mind when people try and knock British cars down for parts sharing.

So many people poke fun at Lotus for pinching bits off other cars, same with TVR. Some quite entertaining examples of parts-bin raiding here. The McLaren F1 was terrible for it, especially for £635K in 1990-something!

Number plate lights on the S1 are Rolls Royce parts - and last time I needed some were cheaper from the RR dealer than Lotus.
