jansammut
Hi Guys; Does anyone have a clue as to how this can be removed on a 2002 V8? I need to access the AC potentiometer as it seems to be the cause of my AC not working but can't figure out how to remove it (and don't want to risk damaging the interior trying something stupid). Does it just prise out or do I go in from the DIN slot? Many TIA Edited June 30, 2016 by jansammut
Chillidoggy
If it's the same as the S4s, remove the knobs first, then there are nuts and washer to undo before the panel can be removed. 1 Quote Margate Exotics.
jansammut
No screws under my knobs... Maybe I need to get in via the din slot? I re-uploaded that photo twice, but it still renders upside down when processed might be a formatting issue on my mobile Edited July 9, 2016 by jansammut
stugilmour
Although I have not removed the panel myself, I understand it is simply held in place by double sided tape and needs to be carefully pried off. I also understand it is sufficient to remove the facia panel to replace the switches, and the whole plastic bit does not need to come out. You will need to remove the head unit and sleave though. This post will help a ton.... http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f164/getting-behind-center-console-switches-103970/ I have posted a bunch of other V8 heater info and pictures here in this other post that might also help. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f164/c-air-distribution-flaps-338569/ Let us know how you make out as taking this part of the car apart is quite a puzzle.
