New car detailing and paint protection

Recommended Posts

Morning all. I'm pretty excited that come the end of the month I'll be the owner of a brand new Evora 400. The car will be my daily driver and will live out in the open under a large beech tree. I'm sure that you'll understand that I'm keen to keep the car looking it's best and I'm looking into some form of detailing, paint protection and film application being applied before I pick the car up. The dealer (MMC) is happy to allow me to organise a detailer to carry out the work.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what products I should be looking into, and any companies in the Edinburgh address that carry out the work?

Thanks in advance.

I think that I've missed the boat on that unfortunately. The car is already at the dealers, although hasn't been registered yet. MMC are going to pass on the name of someone that they use for applying film, but as I've not had to do this before I thought it prudent to check out other options and see what's on the market.

My wife's not sold on the colour so I need to make sure the car is looking its best the first time she sees it! :lol:

@CocoPops Your thread has arrived.

(To the OP, Lee has just through exactly the same on his new 400).

Hehe cheers @Bravo73:lol:

I paid for a "new car" detail with Auto Curators. 2days work with Gtechniq products and then Paintguard.co.uk fitted a full front end film.

means it will clean up nicely on the rare occasion it gets washed.

@CocoPops that's exactly the idea. Get it sorted properly in the beginning to save time and effort down the line. I take it that you're happy with the results? I have to say that your car looks stunning in photos.
