The header is listed as a pre 86 LC header, when in fact it is much more like the HC87>

the header is actualy part of the cooling kit mod cause it doesnt match the num for the LC or HC headers but it does for the one in the kit.

thanks Angus, i brought one of the headers and have been wondering what to do with it (hole in side) - i will get in touch with SJ now.

would it be possible to take a photo to see what i would be getting?

Hi Dave,

I don't have the technology to do photos this weekend (at parents') but here is an extract from the parts manual that shows the tank - it is post 87 in the parts manual.

The parts from SJ are a small rubber grommet that insulates the metal rod from the tank. The metal rod is literally that a small metal rod about 2m in diameter and about 5cm long with an electrical spade connector on it. I assume that it would be possible to tell when there is no coolant left when there is a break in the circuit between the metal rod and the contact welded to the bottom of the tank. They are redundant in my case but you might be able to hook them up to your car.

Here is a picture of the tank that was pre 87:

Hope that is some help.

Cheers,

Angus
