Attention Ladies and Gents. The Formidable squadron is preparing for take off.

The plan is to meet at the Holiday Inn car park just off jct 15 of the M6 at 8am on SUNDAY 18th March. After a quick chat we'll leave at 8.15am to ensure we get to Donington (and decent parking) for 9am.

We can choose the boring A50 dual carriage or the more bendy-route if people prefer.

No plans have been made for the return flight.

All those intending to join the fly-past please sign in below.

(variations to the above can be also be canvassed here)

Graham.

I am hoping to be there for the Sunday at Donnington, but I will be travelling in the volvo with the miniNMEGs in the back. Unless I can convince family to go aswell, then I could take two cars one of them being Ellie. I will see how it goes.

I'll be there, however...

on the way to meet CarlC today, something went pop leaving a huge trail of blue smoke, nothing terminal, but unless I can get Chris Neill to sort it out quickly, I may be in "limp to Donny mode".

Alex, if you want to come in Ellie, I'd be happy to give one of the NMEGlets a lift. I'll understand if you'd rather not, but the offer's there.

Excellent. :P

Numbers beginning to build nicely. Assuming Oneshot is in. Sort of take him for granted. :)

Anyone have any preference as to whether we use the A50 or go the bendy option?

If not, I'll play Dictator and choose :)

Surely it would be a crime to go any other route than the Bendy one. :)

Perhaps a bit of both may be the answer :)

Graham,

Think we need to do the bendy one along the old route to Melbourne. Used to do that way, as my now wife Kirstie lived at Breedon on the Hill and I was bombing it in a 16 valve Corolla GTi to 'see' her!!!!!!!

Her dad used to have 'The Green Dragon' pub @Willington and 'The Three Horseshoes' @Breedon. Not that i like a beer or anything..........

Si,

We're probably talking same route. A50 to Foston, then off onto the old road to the Salt Box. Straight on passed Peter Smiths then the A5132 to Swarkestone (got a feeling that they may have closed this road since the new A50 was opened so more local enquiry may be necessary), over the narrow bridge and up to Melbourne and in to Donington through the back door.

Just had an e-mail from Trevor (BRG Stevens N/A) to say he thinks he'll be joining us.

It has to be the bendy option, especialy since i hve nice light steering again :(

then again, i may have worn the car out by then, unfortunataly, my Elite went bang-rata-tata-a-tap tap tap'red light' in the outside lane of the M54 on monday. so I am having to use Loti everyday to go from wolvo to telford :(

i did find out the horns have packed up, so thats the next thing after getting the Elite working again.

Even if I've not got it sorted out, barring further problems, or it being spread over Chris Neil's floor, I'll be there. Even with its current problem, it still out-dragged a desperate-to-win M3 :P so unless you're driving like complete nutters  I should be able to keep up OK.

What NMEG drive like nutters, dont think so, if Graham is leading then you wont be going much above 30.....

above the limit that is...

Guys,

Don't forget Trevor Sandland (he thinks he should be able to make it)

Also PM'd Nicksoldies and waiting response.

Dodgy could you speak with Ian Heighway to see if he's coming.

Cheers,

Graham.
