It's Class 'D' airspace so we're permitted to fly there but as it's within their CTR (Controlled Region, the 'SFC to 2500'' in the bottom right of the picture), it's good practice to get their consent.

Fascinating!

If you're in that area again, the area is littered with abandoned forts and batteries. Grain Tower Battery (accessible at low tide by causeway, although I think it's in private hands now),  Fort Darnet and Fort Hoo further up the river, Grain Land Fort, and one battery I can't remember that's next to the Kingsnorth power station outfall.

Plus there's Sheerness, but I wouldn't bother if you want your drone back...…...

Has anyone seen @Bibs lately?  I'm sure a green Evora has been spotted hidden in the tree's around the Gatwick area!  :bounce:

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

I was toying with the idea of getting a van but decided instead to stick with the car for now until I'm making much more money from the drone work. Are these magnetic signs for when I'm working a good idea or a bit shit?

The magnetic ones if left in place will mark the paint  with crap that gets under the edge etc.   You  could get a printed wrap to various panels.   When we used to have the cars done with normal  graphics they always showed a mark once removed where the rest of the paint had faded ( even on modern cars).   Probably only need the back end done anyway for sitting in traffic.  Good VFM advertising however does mean you have to drive "nicely".

You probably need to establish: What's the purpose for the panels?

For example If it's to advertise whilst driving and get more work, then it means having something almost permanent that has no real risk of damaging the car's paint. If it's to advertise only when stationery while you're doing a job then magnetic would be OK as long as you took precautions.

Any sign of that nature is going to make the car a more attractive target for thieves, so permanent / attached during day to day driving would increase the chance of returning to your car having been in the supermarket etc, only to find a lot of shattered glass on the floor, irrespective of whether  drone was in the car at the time or not.
