Does this ring true with you or are they a little more frugal? Also, how long does the electric last and would it be a reasonable proposition for a Euro road trip? Genuinely interested, not trying having a dig btw Q Edited October 30, 2016 by qwerty123
Popular Post The Pits
Could be best starting an i8 topic elsewhere if anyone's really interested. This one is supposed to be about the Lotus Driving Academy. Last time I checked they weren't using i8s but I think I'd rather they closed than resorted to that!

Jacques
So, is Lotus atill making some Money out of selling cars? Or what is the newest Development? Kind regards, Jacques. Quote Nobody does it better - than Lotus
fmxa
Seems as the CA one is gone (http://www.lotusdrivingacademyusa.com) and it appears NV is also the same. Still, good to hear Houston is opening. Quote Paddle Faster, I hear Banjos!
NedaSay
Lotus Driver Academy at MSR Houston is now open Now we need one in the UK cause not having an LDA in the "motherland" doesn't make sense! Having one operation in China or more logically South east Asia would make sense too. Here's hoping that LDA at MSR Houston can tie up with the Lotus Cup USA people, Lotus Cars USA and the US dealer network, the prices seem quite competitive to me. And here's hoping the guys behind MSR Houston can transform their plan into reality cause right now the "resort" looks more like former army barracks than a 5* luxury resort... Popular Post wolme
Just to express how glad I am that I did it last June - a 1:1 tuition at Hethel with Martin Donnelly as my personal trainer - a full day of driving with the Exige S . Me and my wife had an absolutely extraordinary day there being the only guests and the only car on track. Thanks again to Martin for his patience and thanks to Danny Hartgrove for the hospitality and for arranging the great factory tour just for the 2 of us. A day to remember Thank you - so sad it is closed now that I recommended it to all my pals at the Lotus Club Austria Wolfi

Further information to follow in due course. Lotus Driving Academy - Currently under restructure Is there any hope they will reopen it any time soon? theelanman
I think unfortunately you've found and old web page..........it was the rebranded driving academy from 2009 that was closed........ I do hope they offer courses but I fear the day of the school is gone..... Arregueti
Hm. You are probably right, but this is all rather new, the main page still directs to the academy and I think the text I quoted was not there before. There is also now a new reference to the other academies which are still open. Here is hoping!
NedaSay
Seems like things would be looking slightly better for LDA if you look at this lotuscars.com page: http://www.lotuscars.com/about-us/lotus-driving-academy I knew about the Houston and Grand Sambuc new franchise, Proton is now making things slightly more official in Malaysia and now a franchise would be opening in California... That website not functional though!
