Back in the booth for round 2

Round 2 consisted of more reface. came out of the booth a couple of days later for more sanding with 180, which has been done.  Am now sanding down with 240 in preperation for round 3 and primer.

WILL IT EVER END!!

Getting closer.  Car went back in the booth and is now sits resplendant in white primer.  Will have to leave it a few days now to harden off before I start the next round of sanding.

Master cylinder and Servo away being refurbished (Cornwall)

Condenser and new radiator in transit from Exeter. https://www.radiator-repairs.co.uk/

Various brackets n stuff away being powder coated.

Oh, and

more sanding.

Finished the sanding and now she is.... PAINTED!

Then on to some flatting and polishing.  My paint guy tells me you know when the finish is truly flat by the  crispness of the reflections and by the fact you can read the number plate of a car in the yard...

First items to go back in were the radiator and condenser

 

 

Once that was done we moved on to the next step

 

a bit blured that one (was getting excited)

Hi Tom,

Exhaust manifold isn't fitted yet, took rocker cover off but it was still fowling at the rear.  We ended up taking out the o/s engine mount donut and losened the n/s donut which allowed the engine to lean over. Gives lots of space for the body to go straight down on to the chassis.
