Washer jet - fan spray?

The rubber gasket is only there because Ford supply the jet with it fitted. The gasket is only there because of problems in the Mk6 Fiesta where water leaked through the washer jets from the outside and filled up the spark plug holes in the head. I suspect the Evora will not get those issues !!

Excellent, useful to know. I'll remove my rubber bit! Actually drove it today a good way in just the sort of conditions where you need the spray every few miles. Even with it catching the hatch it is a million times better than it was.

Ooh - TOP TIP Brendonian. I just popped out to the garage and spent about 3mins removing the gasket on mine.

A little update on this. My original washer jet was awful. When I mentioned it to Lotus Silverstone, they did some kind of adjustment, and it came back much better, but not great.

Having now switched to the fan style jet, it's maybe *slightly* better than the original jet after adjusting, but the difference it absolutely minimal.

I don't regret switching, but it probably wasn't really worth it for me. Anybody else considering it may wish to just see if the standard jet can be improved.

I don't know what Silverstone did to mine, but it can't be anything more than cleaning it, and tweaking the direction of the nozzles.
