Sport 350 Suspension help. Quick favour needed

Hiya..

just fitted the Sport 350 alloys to my 88 Esprit (they do fit!) and I have the adjustable top links to allow me to control the massive amount of camber that I now have.

However, it's going to be a little while, due to the fact I live on an Island, until I can get a full tracking done on the car.

so.. would someone mind measuring the length of one of their top links, so I can set mine to the same length?

I know it won't be perfect, but until I can get it done properly it'll be closer than I'll get by guessing!!

many thanks in advance..

Glyn.

You could make a rough camber gauge with a bit of cardboard and a weight on the end of a piece of cotton! All you need is a protractor :-)

I made one to set up my Excel after fitting adjustable top links... it was surprisingly close when I got it checked out!

ps. I can also measure .. but my battery is dead (even using a conditioner) so it'll be a few days until I can get a new battery fitted and get access to the top link!)

Thanks for that Steve.. I may have a go at that.. but if you do get a chance when your battery is better, it would be handy.

My car looks more or less the same as yours now.. apart from the wheels on mine aren't gold

my original links were 8.83" or 224.38mm, I had to lengthen them to correct the camber with my V8 wheels. Sorry can't measure, but it is less than 1/2" probably around 1/4" longer if I had to guess.

Hi ,

Mine are off the car as I'm putting the new harder lotus bushes in.

Physical End to end it is 266mm (not centre of bolt to centre of bolt)

The other side is slightly longer for some reason.

You can buy a camber guage for about
