I am not sure if the workshop manual helps but I can look later today and maybe send a pdf of the relevant pages. In my short term of working on the car some things are a pain to get at including a simple matter of removing the center tunnel section as I struggle to get it past the hand brake while it fouls the dash.

Could be something wrong with your 'b' key as well on either your PC or your phone Clive. I just edited your post and put 5 of them in where they had been missed out.

without the manual and at a guess.........

drop the steering column and then take the fascia off......

the fascia has 3 or 4 screw holding it on.......they have plastic covers on which match the fascia.......

one below the dash switches on the centre....one next to the clock and the other next to the light switch.........might be another

you may need to undo the instrument binnacle and release the  main instrument cluster too......

its should all them slide forward.......or at least just enough to get your hand in.........

that was how I seem to remember doing mine when I replaced the same bulbs
