blueg33
Mt Evora N/A was my daily driver and its been replaced by a Sports Racer S which is also my daily driver. I am not afraid of using my car, on Sunday it went to Tesco's for the weekly shopping (I stuffed up the internet order), today it is in a station car park, on Friday it will be visiting some building sites. Gold FFM DaveC72 Posted January 24, 2017 Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 24, 2017 Evora S daily driver here. Just about to hit 35K miles in two years. I am constantly (and probably unfairly) amazed at just how bomb proof the car has been. Tyres are a bit cheeky, but the bloke who fits mine consistently points out that it's probably more due to my right foot than the car. I do plenty of long journeys and it's hassle free motoring - you'll also find people are generally more considerate in traffic (which is a bonus) and it's done it's share of supermarket/ builders merchants runs (and owning a coveted +0 ( @C8RKH ) had all sorts in the back). I can honestly say that I've not regretted the choice one bit.
Gold FFM C8RKH Posted January 24, 2017 Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 24, 2017 Top bloke that @DaveC72, even his avatar is sticking two fingers up at +2's. I mean, who needs a four seater anyway..... After all, Lotus's fastest and most desireable Evora is a +0..... 1 Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.
Gm77
Ah, but you +0 owners miss out on those never to be forgotten comments such as the one made by my 3 year old daughter who excitedly screamed on the weekend "Wow! We're going in the racing car today!!" Priceless.
Gold FFM DaveC72 Posted January 24, 2017 Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 24, 2017 True, but I'd need kids first... ...plus I get to take my Nieces and Nephews out without a clucking adult sat next to me. "Uncle Dave drove very slowly" is the agreed report upon our return...
Gm77
Now there's a thread in its own right - "managing the comments made by children after they get out of an Evora". It is well established in my family that it merely feels fast as its low to the ground (same with the Elise), and that in actual fact, we always travel very slowly. And, everyone knows that the numeric speed indicator at the top of the display in the 400 is in km/h not mph and therefore meaningless. Gold FFM C8RKH Posted January 24, 2017 Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 24, 2017 Pah. I did not buy my Evora to keep the kids happy. I bought it to make me smile. Once past the Metro man "age" you'll realise that there are other ways to enjoy time with your "older", much older, kids. Like dinner at Morano, or cocktails in the Ritz, or fine wine and oysters at Bentleys in London - yes there is a trend here.... The added benefit of this is that YOU get to then drive YOUR Evora how you want, when you want, without having to tell any porkies to anyone as you don't let anyone else in it! Now that, is one damn fine advantage to growing old disgracefully! It also helps when you have a damn fine wife to whom you say, "Hi love, well, err, what we doing in September, cos some of the boys are planning a 3 week road trip to Sardinia including a potential stay in the Hotel Cala Di Volpe" to which she says, "well nothing planned, so go for it honey!" - WOW - WTF - now that gives me a massive dilemma and of course with my +0 (that means no-one, not even a co-pilot) how self indulgent is that? Kids will still be around when I get home for a great meal..... hahahaha..... Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way. Inkyfingers
After a day of getting shouted out for all sorts of things, none of which were my fault, I got in the Evora, wound the windows down and drove pretty much the whole way home in 2nd and 3rd, and arrived feeling much better. The Evora is not only a great car, it is genuinely good for your mental health.

PZE
Congratulations. Guessing game then: probably not the 13k example in white that Snows have just sold (unless your budget increased). Maybe the black one that @B3NN L briefly bought which has just disappeared from PH? A long way south of you though. Or Campbell's from scottishelises...? A nation (well a forum) awaits your announcement.
