Mark Blanchard 1,646
This car looks like an old Yahoo Esprit members car from way back, 14+ years ago. Can't remember the name though. It was low miles and mint and he bought it for top money thinking it was a perfect car and the engine was shagged. ***Edit: No it's not. Remembered the name "Curly" John Packman with a BRG Esprit just like it. Last Mot'd in 2007. 1 Quote Mark www.lotusespritturbo.com

LOTUSMAN33 1,458
£18.5k plus fees I have been informed by a reliable source. 1 Quote Do or do not, there is no try!
Steve4012 190
That's a healthy price!
PhilW 400
That's incredible if it's correct. With an engine in pieces and many unknowns and will for sure need a significant chunk of cash. I personally think the provenance of being ex David Wickens is almost irrelevant. Wasn't he the twat that got rid of the original lotus badge?
Stuart Monument 787
Completely agree with you @PhilW

Steve4012 190
Looks like this was bought by a trader to be recommissioned and is now advertised at just under £40k. The ad is a bit ambiguous, engine rebuild or just ancillaries and a 'C' service. Edit: engine in bits so obviously full rebuild. http://m.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C849853
Bazza 907 1,063
That's the problem in paying over the odds for something, you then have to ask an unrealistic price to try to get your money back.
Suddabym 430
20k for a C Service. I mean, I know they can be pricey, but...blimey. 2 Quote Sudders and Dany
Bazza 907 1,063
Proper engine rebuild on a knackered engine is what, £10k? Then, as it's been standing for so many years, you've probably got to think of suspension, gearbox, petrol tanks, interior, tyres etc etc.
silverfrost 1,387
That is if it gets done though Barrie, some traders are happy to just have a running engine Quote A
Suddabym 430
And, now B&C have a turbo in the showroom for £40k. Seems to be a theme forming... If it's tidy and running, it's worth £40k. Quote Sudders and Dany
Bazza 907 1,063
It's £38k - saw it Sunday - discussed on another thread
Suddabym 430
£38995. I'll get my coat 1 Quote Sudders and Dany
