Fitted the carbs and airbox today, a bit concerned about the airbox being too high and hitting the bonnet....

Your restoration is just flat out awesome, its very rare an Elite gets this kind of treatment.

Re the airbox the factory soundproofing has an L shaped cutout which leaves the underside of the bonnet exposed - the gap is that tight!

I am slightly in awe of this to be honest.   Looks unbelievably fantastic.

Only slightly! Christ, I'm thinking of setting light to mine!

Is the price for that bit in Yen or £?

Cheers everyone but I think the pictures make it look better.

Give yourself some credit and a pat on the back, it takes a perfectionist to get an engine bay to that standard....superb job.:respect:

Very nicely done. What have you done with the ventilation outlets in the centre? And what did you recover the fake woodgrain with?

You have room for a touchscreen/satnav now where the radio was? iPad mini? :)

I drew up a membrane and plate and had it made.

A few pictures, I have all the wiring modified and completed including the head light conversion using the Mazda motors. The rear wiper, fuel pump and filter are installed on my home made mounting. Next is bleed the brakes and see if it starts😨🤒
