Windscreen finisher, replaceable or dressable?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

From the parts list at Deroure, I can see that the OEM windscreen comes with the rubber finisher strip in place..

What I'm wondering is whether anyone has successfully had just the rubber finisher replaced?

Mine has been a little shabby from day one, and while Stratton are looking into options I thought I'd also see what other people had done.

Mine was looking a little faded (nothing like as bad as the one pictured on the other forum though).

Applied a coat of Gtechniq C4 trim restorer. It's been on for a few months now and still looks brand new.

Update: Tim at Stratton has arranged for Lotus to swap out the screen with finisher under warranty. Hopefully this was just a small batch issue that is out of the system by now.

Looking forward to it as I'll get the soft-top adaptation done at the same time.
