I wonder if this will be the last Elise revision before we see an all new Elise in 2020?

There have been 6 in the last 2 years, based on that we are likely to see at least 12 more.

Surely there really isn't much more to get out of this version but I am sure Lotus will find a way, are 4 wheel really needed anyway :-)

Yes I have to admit that I was keeping my eye on Geneva news as I was hoping for some Lotus announcements, certainly seems strange they didn't announce this, I guess they have their reasons.

Interesting that they've gone for Exige style intakes at the front, but left the imitation bonnet shut lines from the original S3 Elise front clam.

To my eyes the Evora style lights at the rear work much better in the narrow transom of the Elise than the wider transom of the Exige, which I find suits the four red clusters better.

That carbon does suit very well. Can't wait to see the new Cup 250 treatment. Should be great.

Lotus didn't go to Geneva this year, hence the lack of announcement from the show.

Geneva would have been a good place to show that to the public - even Noble has been in Geneva.......

considering the cost of real estate at the Geneva Motorshow and considering the new car frenzy that it has been the Elise Sprint was just not enough to justify the investment. I think Lotus was wise to be a no show and focus on the variants that they are going to introduce this year. Elise Sprint was first, and I am expecting at least one new Evora variant if not two and maybe one Exige variant.

As I understand it, it's six figures to be at Geneva, it's really not cheap.

That's more like it :-) The exhaust note is such an important part of any sports car and I've always felt that lacking a little on the Elise so I have always put a Larini on which sounds awesome and really puts a smile on your face so will be interesting to hear one of these new Elise's in the flesh but from the video it sounds much better.

Funnily enough when just driving home from work I just saw a one of the new Elise's in yellow on the A1M near Biggleswade, didn't realise they were out there yet, have to say the new front end looked really good, I would say this is the best looking Elise to date, just wondering is it a big enough change to make it an S4 version?

The automotive press is funny sometimes Autocar obviously reviewed the "136" Sprint and yet are displaying Sprint 220 pictures while Car had the Sprint 220 to test but shows picture from the "136" Sprint. Good news is that regardless of the flavour they do like it. And i do love the clean lines no rear wing + dual pipe exhaust of the '136' Sprint. Well it's not going to make its way over here for another 20 years, sadly...

I'm really liking this. I'm looking forward to seeing what the face-lifted 250 Cup is like, but the Sprint version is lovely

Yeah it's a lovely looking car I think. The grey one in the articles looks particularly good, especially with all the carbon parts. The only thing I'm not entirely sure about is the new front bumper, but I have a feeling this would look better 'in the metal' than it does to my eyes in the photos.

Really want to try one out. I had an Elise S for a week when my Evora was in for some work a year or so ago and fell in love with it. An even more honed version of that car is very appealing!

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

A little bit of video from Pistonheads. Shame they couldn't do a full video review. Looks great on track though.
