GTK
Thanks fellas, just touched down in London. Headed for the Autosport Awards on Sunday night, I doubt there's any point in even trying to get the camera in the door, but beforehand I plan on making like James Bond and wrecking everywhere I go [in my tux]. Hey and remember... scarfs aren't just for necks

GTK
Thanks Danny! Edit: didn't know what to say earlier; I don't push the Patreon thing because it's very much a you feel it or you don't kinda thing. Giving the people a little recognition is as loud as I want to bang that drum.
TAR
How could you? Stopping half way through a great piece on fibreglass repair. Can't wait to see the rest. Despite what you may think about the production, these episodes just get better and better. Keep 'em coming. Quote It's getting there...... silverfrost
Super video George, Always look forward to updates on your channel, keep up the great work, Also probably one of the best fiberglass instruction videos i have seen as you ask the right questions that folks want to know and your mate gives the answers in clear laymans terms which is nice Quote A
Bibs
Can't believe you took a hammer to it but that does show the strength of a good repair. Very impressive stuff. GTK
haha yeah we didn't get too technical. Had to hit it too, for me it was really more to show how durable fibreglass is. Bill was telling me the Esprit is way thicker than modern Lotuesesses, he sees quite a few as you might imagine. Not surprised about the thickness really but interesting. Actually when I had a pal do a paint-less panel repair on one of my Minis he said the same thing, the steel in the Classic Mini shell [the one in question was a '98] is much much thicker than what they used even in the '90's, so it was much more difficult to work. Glad Beau liked it Dan, the car is stunning - between yours and Matthias's gold S2 I was spoilt. Not sure what I'm going to do for the next episode, Christmas period was very quiet in terms of people getting in touch. Have great stuff in the can interview wise though Tim I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with your garage. Dreaming about building my own too. GTK
Deadly! Thought it was a smart combo. silverfrost
George, Fantastic episode, really pleased you got the history on your esprit, Love the history side also regarding the local blacksmith etc, so many people overlook these type of places during a restoration, They can save you a massive amount of money as these old school chaps are so down to earth, seem to understand passion for projects and you can have also have a chat and brew to boot at the same time So hope your series starts to get more in the public eye soon as it is a fantastic watch and you deserve a lot of credit for your time and commitment on the show. Very good formula you have going on, regarding car porn, mixed with interviews etc, a great watch indeed and always look forward to the new one. One thing i would recommend you may want to look into is Merchandise, T shirts are always good and stickers , not only for a little profit hopefully but also a perfect way of advertising , Your soup logo is pretty cool and would work well imo on a T shirt and such like etc. Worked for gas monkey 1 Quote A

GTK
Oldschool metalworkers are the coolest guys. Way back I hinted to Sean about maybe renting some of his workspace. It'd be a dream to work alongside someone with his experience, but I knew he'd have none of it. He has a bay with some beautiful disused metalworking machines in it, the entrance has been overrun by an ever changing pile of off cuts. Last time I was down there he said he would like to get the bay cleared and reinstated. I told him I'd do the work - give him two days of my time if he put me in his will for this incredible old drill press that stands in the middle of his workshop. I was like some sort of metalwork junkie tweaker I have merch going Dan, I'm not pushing it but the feedback on it is good and if you look back a couple of posts Simon was wearing his tee in Costa Rica. Deadly. Thanks for the kind words man, the way youtube is now it's anyone's guess whether SOUP will get much bigger. Despite not doing it for that reason I sometimes realise I've gotten sucked into worrying about that stuff. Have to remember it's always been about the cars. Bibs I'm seriously looking forward to our interview, the people need to know... mohahaha! Thanks for the share [again]. Whiskey again? Looking forward to chasing more Lotus stories with you man.

Popular Post oilmagnet477
Another great watch George - metal brake is awesome and very simple (no offence intended lol). Once again you have inspired me back out there - just refitted the UJs on my propshaft so I can get the diff back in the Elite. It has reminded me how much I hate UJs!! Keep it up - you're making me poorer but richer 3 Quote Is the price for that bit in Yen or £?
