Just took a couple of photos on my car, LHD, and you can see through and the plastic flap is flexible.
You can also see some dirt that is stuck in the middle section.

Pretty sure you can remove a flap under for when on track.

Just remove the block-off plates for best aerodynamic effect if you are a "trackster".

Maybe the same reason regards the TVR Sagaris, which had the bonnet vents fully open when launched and subsequently changed them to completely closed - regulation issue? Loved the look of that car back when it was launched.......but now - would still rather have an Exige

Hi all,

I have a simple stupid question: do you know the color code of the front red stripes on the exige 380 cup? I am planning to add a few decals (frontwindschield decal and one on the wing) and I would like to use same red color, but of course in photo it changes with light..

Also, do you have any suggestion about how to recreate the top roof stripes of the 430 cup.aybe I can just buy something and do it myself?

Is it necessary to be able to see the wheel? Surely the opening only needs to equalise pressure in the wheel arch?

Random question but is it possible to install rear speakers in the Cup?

The original V6 Cup doesn’t have the plastic rear assembly at the bulk head which houses the rear speakers. This may be different in the 380/430Cups as the option for fire extinguisher and electric cut off is an option hence could mean the rear plastic assembly could be used as a head set is possible. If that makes sense

What was it originally for? I guess it may share the same part for the elise/evora but I have never seen on an exige what this 4th button could be used for. No option I can find where the 4th button would be functionable.

If the car doesn't have the AA frame the the speaker panel/ bulk head panel would fit

On newer cars the air bag delete I think includes hanesses and A frame

Would the rear speaker wiring be there or would it have to be wired?

I would guess everyone has the same harness regardless of model. For example everyone has the convenience pack wired in from factory but if not selected as an option they don’t connect up the USB socket for collection.

When I had carpets fitted the rear bulkhead came out to get the carpet underneath. On mine the rear speaker cables were just taped to the chassis under the sound deadening.

Nevermind just found out from the dealer that it is 1 year.

Has anyone seen pictures of the 380 cup with the roof off? Can't seem to find any pictures online. Actually can barely find pictures of the 380 cup period, just a handful of cups are online I guess.

I  remember reading 2 years for the 380 cup as well but dealer said 1 year and then i read on the Lotus website its 3 years for regular cars and 1 year for special editions. www.lotuscars.com/ownership/lotus-cars-warranty

Been using them for years in all my past S2 Lotus variants.  In the 2-Eleven, I found I only needed to install the gas pedal replacement and locate it closest to the brake.  Made H&T much easier, given my  narrow feet, especially when wearing racing shoes. No need for me to replace the brake pedal for side-to-side adjustment and/or to alter its height 

Also, @Cristiano -- no need to be concerned about the pedals being "irreversible"  in terms of altering their original location/placement … once installed you can easily achieve the same location as factory through the adjustments, whether it be height (removing the supplied shims) or the space between the pedals.  

 

I resume this post since I went back to Monza last weekend, and after some more testing I think I would need to do the pedal upgrade as my foot is too slim (or maybe I am just not good enough..).

Anyway, I wrote to my dealer, asking if they ever installed the DBW pedals above and they replied that without any pedal replacement it is actually possible to move the accelerator pedal 1.5-2.0 cm closer to the brake! Did you knew that? This is indeed the best solution in my opinion.

Regarding Monza: I improved my lap time to 2:09 and I believe, without car/tyre modifications, a 2:05 might be doable.

The car is really amazing to drive!
