Fuel pipe assembly

Big Vern

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, im trying to source a fuel pipe assembly for my 1986 S3 N/A, i have a picture from the SJ website which is currently no longer being made. I wonder if there is anyone who has previous made one up themselves? If anyone can tell me what the T junction part is and the 2 x gold coloured parts are called maybe i could source them and make one up, also does anyone know the internal fuel pipe dimensions and pipe lengths together with the banjo sizes?

Many thanks in advance.....

Brett

I didnt seem to have a lot of luck with this post but i wanted to put it out there that i did manage to get a new one made up from Leigh Baxter Associates in Southend on Sea near where i live. Only cost £36 inc vat and they did a great job too. They did use the old banjo's but used s/s braided hose and reconfigured the end adaptor as it was clearly a bodge dodge from a previous owner... Just thought someone might find it useful for future use :)

Glad you got this resolved. It's odd that no one relied with help. You cant possibly be the only person who has needed new fuel line? :)

It's getting there......

SJ have also told me that they are having difficulty in sourcing a set of fuel lines for my S1 which is undergoing a full restoration. I'm getting a little apprehensive as I don't have the original set-up from the tanks to pump to carbs in which to make a new set.

Hopefully SJ will be able to source.

There are 2 different types of fuel lines on the S1 (could be more but I only know of 2). The early ones had a Y shaped arrangement and the fittings on the carbs are no longer available. I had to send SJ my fittings to be reused when they did mine.

Hi Brett!

I'm also waiting for the fuel line to be delivered from Steve. Think I´ll try the local hydraulics shop here in Germany today. At least I know who´s going to be able to build one in UK now. Thanks for your info.
