Newbie without Esprit!

Hello all. Popped in to say hi!

Newbie here near Stamford, Lincolnshire. I'm originally from Oxford area and as long as I can remember have wanted an Esprit. I'm perhaps a little premature joining here as I don't own one (yet!) May be a little while longer before I do (Like lucky if it happens b4 Xmas ) but thought I'd get in early and see what info I can glean!

No worries about not having an esprit in here, i'm still blatting around in my trusty 1.3 fiesta finesse until the day i manage to buy one. They're all a very friendly bunch and its good to get involved and meet people so you can get some advice before buying.

Thats what i'm doing at the moment as i'm on the lookout for my 1st esprit and have wanted one for as long as i can remember as well!

Thanks for all the welcomes lads! I've just got to be patient but can't tell you how much I want an Esprit. I think when I was a baby I probably said 'Lotus Esprit' before I said 'car!'

Will have to be an S3 Turbo when I buy. I like the look of the Stevens Esprit but it's the G-car I grew up with so will go for that first. I've always thought about the S3 Turbo HC - is it worth holding out for one of these or will any non-HC Turbo fit the bill?

Esprit life is an adventure, my firt Esprit nearly caused a divorce, a lot of stress and sleepless nights, I was even fitting a clutch hose on Christmas day , yes its an addiction.In the end I had to sell it and do the sensible thing... buy another one

G-car is a good choise B) so go for it.

I love all the S3 Turbos, but the Turbo HC is the best (if you can find or afford one)
