Hello from Manchester & an Exige Sport 350

Hi guys -

Thought I'd say a quick hello. After nearly 10 years out of my Elise S2 I finally collected my Exige Sport 350 about 3 weeks ago! I'm looking forward to some road trips and possibly meeting to some of you guys and chatting to you on here at the very least...

I'm based on the Manchester/Cheshire border and a huge fan of Lotus so glad to be back in the driver's seat!

Thanks guys...

Yes interior is dark Micheal with leather pack, carbon seats and red stitching to match the calipers. I think I was really lucky to get this combo because I really like it.

Yes I'm not far from Buxton Paul, I'm in Cheadle Hulme/Bramhall area.  I took her for a drive over your way on Wednesday night... :)

Thanks Jonny.

To be fair I've only completed about 250 miles and I'm still running it in, so once I've had chance to play around properly I'll come back to you. I'm tempted to get it on a track actually so I can have a proper play with it.

The biggest surprise for me so far though is how good it is at cruising.   Elise wasn't really I didn't think, so it put me off doing long trips. But I can see this going to Europe.

I've not tried an Evora yet but yours is probably the same I imagine. It's just effortless and never seems to need any more power or torque... and the noise is just immense as well.

Definitely a much more serious car with a V6.  I'll come back to you though when I've had a couple more decent runs in it!

Lovely car Neil - I actually enquired about it last week after finding it on YouTube but was told it had already sold. Love the spec and very unusual with the newer style leather seats and red accents. Great find - well done and enjoy!!!B-)

Thanks Stephen - yes I did jump on it pretty quickly! I've been looking for about 6 months but couldn't resist that one.

It is unusual actually, it's like half a colour pack but yes I think it looks quite smart.

The place I bought it off now has a 380 in grey with the same colour options. But the calipers and seat inserts are yellow. That looks really smart as well.....

Yes seen the other Exige they've got Neil, but it's not the deal yours was. That and Grey just doesn't do it for me with the yellow (would be better with red accents I think).......although I do like black paint with yellow accents. Not quite sure how I'll go yet once I sell my Esprit S4s......had originally planned a new one but if I can find the right spec with nearly new miles I think it might be wiser going that route.

You've certainly done well with your one anyway.....you must be very pleased with your final find after looking for as long as you did. I reckon in years to come that 350 you have could end up one of a kind as I've yet to see a 350 with those wheels and the newer style seats, especially in leather with the colour accents......should help protect its residual value. Enjoy it:thumbup:

Agreed it would be nicer in black! There is a black one up with yellow but has the tartan seats in yellow as well and I wasn't a fan.

Also a stunning carbon clad blue one in David Haytons that I looked at, but abit pricey for me at the minute!

I was toying with a factory order, I liked the sound of going to see it actually being built which I'd have loved to have done. I think if I didn't get this I'd have picked my own spec and done that.

Let me know how you get on with your search!  Or if you want a hand with anything let me know, I can look at them all day long! Haha... :)
