Little Gransden Air and Car Show.

Some typical comments about LOTUS on the facebook page of the Air Show.

It would appear that the Esprit had a petrol leak and rather than try and start the car, they moved it to a safe area.

Is that an S1?

You are right Phil ,  S2 ,  Speedline alloy wheels and inlet ears,  Looks really nice from the photos,  very sensible to push it off  ,  Lets hope the fuel leak gets sorted quickly and another one is not lost to the flames  :)

Beautiful S2!!!

Great Sunset pics. They remind me of some of the original Lotus press photos (minus the RAC breakdown truck) especially with that period Lotus factory reg number.:)

I hope you get it sorted easily.

Cheers Mike

Worth it for the pix alone.

Fuel tanks are a pig to remove and fit, but will be worth it. Just did mine last Friday before refitting the body shell to the rolling chassis.

Thanks Mike, pity the RAC van was there, but I was glad to see him.

Paul if your running by Oct 15th there might be a run to Rockingham. Meet in Cambridge. Probably Tescos on A14.

That sounds good Phil, am sure it will be fixed by then, ready for its next fault!

Thanks Fridge. Hmmm! I looked at them and though they looked tight, how are they fixed? Any tips?

Apart from removing the body shell, no not really @happyvwcamper

You should be able to remove them with a small struggle, after disconnecting the fuel filler neck and then removing the rubber filler pipes.

Dropping them in is tricky. It's not obvious, but basically they go in widest (front) pointing downwards into the space, then angling upwards to level. Sounds easy, but it's not. Totally counter intuitive, and sounds implausible, but that's the way they go in bizarrely.
