V8 Front Valence

Seeing the V8's at Brand's Hatch, and given that I am going to have to get some slight repair work done to the front valence on mine, I am wondering about switching it for a V8 one. Has anyone tried this before and do you know if it should be a straight switch? Also does anyone have any idea about how much a new valence might be?

Might be worth checking the Lotus Parts list to see if they have one

Should fit although the ducts are different iirc, V8 has that little gill on the side behind the oil cooler. I would definatly check 100% before buying.

Bibs where did you find that number ? On the sale list ?

What about finding a breakers and grafting the gills on when they do the fibreglass work ?

This is the only difference right ?

TBH you could even do it yourself, it'd be easier to take the valence off though.

The oil cooler ducts are bigger on a V8 as opposed to the GT3, it's not really the side gills. Look at a head on shot of a V8 and compare the lower half of the bumper to a GT3.

It will just bolt on if you get one as the top half is the same for GT3, S4S and V8. They are made of a vinyl type material too which makes modifying with fibreglass impossible.

Copies can be bought made of glass - maybe this is a slightly cheaper option? Or try and find a V8 valence from a breakers as suggested.

I enquired a while ago for the prices of the bumper assembly from Lotus, top and bottom no fixings, lights etc just the molded shapes came to around
