Delco-Moraine ABS Deletion

Recommended Posts

I’ve just heard that another two Esprit owners want their cars converted, which would take the number up to six so far. The High-Wing (AKA Christine), which Sparky is doing battle with right now, an early Delco-equipped GT3, and another S4.

The Exotics range of companies will continue to offer such superb conversions. I feel a new Farmyard division post coming very shortly.

its the flexibility ( staff and physical attributes ) which makes Exotics PLC the go to turnkey conversion specialists

After requests, I’m now looking at a LHD version. Same as RHD but there are a few details I need to make sure of first.

Thanks,

At the moment, I don't see any issues for a LHD conversion, apart from a bracket alteration, but I'm waiting for some photos to confirm my thoughts. I'll let you know if I need any, though.

There is now only one conversion set left from the original batch, so if you want your Delco gone and some decent braking, contact @Barrykearleyfor details.

Please note that unless there is further interest, this will be the last to be manufactured.

!!

The only part you made is a bracket, wasn't it? As for the rest isn't it just a set of standard part available off the shelf? (I don't mean this was easy to source of course, just that what is important is the set of parts reference)
Actually I thought the LHD version was not even already available ^^'

No, I never made anything for LHD, only RHD, although I have looked to see if it’s technically possible. And there’s more than just one fabrication involved.

OK thank you, so if it's not intended for a LHD car I don't need to wonder whether I will have the last set ;)

Ah, no, you don’t!

It really needs a minimum of 10 units before it’s financially viable for either RHD or LHD fabrications. And I believe there’s only a couple of people interested at the moment.

That last set should be in the post to me 👍

Yes, it is RHD. I am contacting Barry for the KH system. I would like to keep the brake system as "OEM" as possible, and the new brake system is my second choice.

The abs units between kh and dm - they use all the same sensors. It’s just a case of repiping and grafting the two looms together.

id not bother - it came with my car and I looked at it briefly. Abs has no place on a 1990s sportcar
