Accumulator replacement question

Recommended Posts

Trying to fault find my flashing ABS (Code 62).  I replaced the ABS switch  2 weeks ago and still have the problem, so now I'm going to replace the accumulator this weekend (last replaced in 2003).

Is it just a matter of:

- depressurising the system

- Unscrewing old

- Screwing on new

- Re-pressurise the system.

I'll read through the manuals as well, but just wanted confirmation that the job was simple before delving in again.

What did you replace the switch with?

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.

Bought a replacement switch from Steve Taylor (Melbourne). I put the switch in first and still had the flashing abs, so obviously the one I've removed (original lotus.switch) is fine. Bought an accumulator from SJSportscars UK. Delivered in 4 days from the UK.

What is Steves' kit like? I am currently installing his electric chargecooler pump which is going nicely.

It's big, but it seems to work.

Chargecooler solution from Steve was super. Still running just fine after 3 years.
