mik
Cant find a thread I am sure I read on this recently Current provider doesn't cover trackdays. I am not mad for them but it would be nice to do 1-2 times a year. Separate track cover seems to come in at > £350 per event. Too much. I know AIB don't offer it with their policies. Tried classicline, but they struggle on price as they are not really set up to best service someone who only runs 1 car, and needs business cover. Who else is worth contacting? Gold FFM C8RKH Posted September 26, 2017 Gold FFM Report Share Posted September 26, 2017 Classicline have just renewed me at £270 for the year on my VX220 with track day cover. They also do my Evora but that is not due till April. Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way. Gashead1105
Henderson Taylor for me. I think the problem is that you want TD cover and business use, with a lot of them it's one or the other.

esprit22
AIB had a tent (and scantily dressed females) at Brands Hatch last month, but won't insure anyone on the track!!..makes sense that..
ChrisJ
Footman James now include Track Days on their Classic Car insurance for an additional premium - starts at £60.
Bassman
My broker is Henderson Taylor, not sure who the current underwriter is. I get comprehensive cover for UK and Europe, 7,000 miles and 6 UK and European track days but can but can bolt on extra days. All tracks insured except the 'Ring. hedgerley
Just renewed the Esprit insurance and happy with it but under the exclusions, amongst the expected generic motor sport, track days etc is this - ".....and not to be used in any capacity within or on the Nurburgring Toll road or Motorsport Complex." Never had such a specific exclusion before. Is this the norm now?

hedgerley
Different insurer Bibs. My broker who looks after all my insurances did the leg work and found a better policy this time round. Previous one (Allianz) came in at well over £100 more than last year, new one (Zenith) is cheaper than last year and has lower excesses! Just compared the certificates; Allianz just has the generic "speed testing and track days" listed, nothing specific. My guess is the hike in premium means they don't really want to be in this market. The insurance business moves in mysterious ways....
