Just a tip!!

Found out the plastic vacuum hose near the accelerator linkage cam was resting

on the top of accelerator cam stopper, the reason I am not getting the

full throttle. I bet this been happening since the 1st owner owned the car.

Get a flashlight and check under the valve cover near the accelerator

cam. Make sure the plastic vacuum hose is not interfering or you will not get WOT.

Been driving this sucker for a year now....oh my, I could have blow that Panoz.

I think this is a common thing, but not just for the reason you say. I drove one car whilst looking for my second V8, one of the last six, that was very poor on acceleration and you could feel the throttle action was not right.

When I did find my second one, it was only getting 73% throttle until it was fettled by Gerald Turner.

Fred....is this a common problem?

Yes my car is just 70% throttle, been driving it for a year. I just discovered it when I am installing the intercoolers. The plastic tube tend to shift in the cam direction when heated and rest to the stopper.

Don't need a picture. Open the engine hatch. In the front of you, you will see the throttle cable linkage.

Pull the cable you will see the throttle cam moves. The throttle cam has bunch of linkage inside the valve

cover. Inside the valve cover, the linkages should be beside a black plastic vacuum hose. Pull the

throttle at WOT, make sure the black plastic vacuum hose not interfering or resting at the accelerator cam stopper. Small flashlight will do.

I remember when I bought my first Esprit V8, the service engineer explained that the accelerator pedal had a stop adjustment that would not allow WOT. This was supposed to be adjusted after the first service interval to allow 100% throttle.

This could be nonsense, but it may well be that some cars do not have the necessary pedal movement to allow full throttle.

any pictures of this? can you take some?

MAMOVAKA

Here is the picture---> I labeled the plastic hose and the accelerator cam.

Follow the plastic hose inside the cover and make sure not resting or interfering with the throttle linkage.

CORRECTION! not the hose I labeled (my mistake). The next hose below near the cam.
