I also notice the US Spec 430 launches next year. So the run isn't really 60 cars, thats just for the UK and "rest of the world"

I think this car is going to kill the GTE values (was it called a 350 in the end) It had the better looks but less performance than the 410 and was very exclusive but the 430 seems to have all of the above. I like the return of the Lotus "mouth", the 400 always seemed a bit too Audi/Lambo...

GT430 is the name. I like it.

the 1299 kg kerb weight is impressive for a car which is not full carbon and has a big lump of a mass produced V6 with a supercharger on top.

the 440 nm peak torque with peak torque higher up the rev range, this means that there's now nothing left in this gearbox that is its max rating Aisin and Toyota won't guarantee it any further. 

the 436hp is a nice incremental upgrade there's still a lot of performance to be freed they say it is available at 7000rpm not 7200 though !

the 250kg of downforce shows how intricate the redesigned bit are, and also that wing that looks so familiar...

that rear bumper is a thing of beauty really looks the part

the front bumper is nice but looks "old", Russel Car went back to its initial design and made the side intakes bigger while the aero guys added the winglets ....It is a very nice design but it takes me back to the 280 design. 

the carbon seats are in but they are not the absolute lightest !!! the Lotus probax race seat are definitely lighter...

the price 112k is reasonable

60 units worldwide, they will sell them I'm not worried it may take two years which will leave room for another limited run before the replacement of the Evora that is not scheduled before 2022....

I like it a lot! Looking at the competition you get a lot of car for you money. Even though it's pricey comparing to the Lotus models. Reading the full TLF article I take it that you would get the 410 CF seats as standard and the ones on the photo are optional extras?

Is it wrong that the change of steel to aluminium for brackets makes me happier than most of the other items mentioned? This has been an oversight for far too long IMHO.

Personally I doubt GTE owners are at all worried, they will always be unusual and special cars. 

I do look forward to seeing one of these in the flesh, it no doubt looks considerably better.

Nope it isn't. I also appreciate that little fact and I'm not yet in the market for these cars. The steel bits have had a torrid stories so switching over to aluminium will bring some peace of mind to some owners and they will look better and save a bit of weight. Pretty sure some owners from the early 280 and S350 models will place a call to Hethel to inquire about those new alloy bits.

If that's the case Bibs I guess the big question for Lotus is.... if they sell their initial "allocation", will they make more a la 380 Cup?

Also, taking some more time to analyse the high resolution photos, there is a lot I *do* like - interior in particular.

This carbon strip is what I think the 410 deserved, not the random little carbon sliver on the regular plastic item.

Very good question ! You take off the carbon blade under the front bumper and it's perfect for the Evora 400/410. This new front bumper is a masterpiece of design.
