If i were to rank them in terms of aesthetics alone, which is a bit daft really but hey sports cars, why not!

GT430 > GTE > 410 > S1 > 400

FTFY!

Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate.  Meh! NOTHING in this world is as addictive as an Evora +0. It's not for babies!

With all due respect to your MOT tester friend, Lotus have a fair amount of experience with getting cars through all the relevant approval requirements. I'm pretty sure it will be fine.

Agree. Look at the rear of an Atom for example.

We will re-enact the whole sorry episode, this time with you driving, before the year's out.

I just put that in writing. Can't promise it'll be in a GT430 though, any plans @RJB?

I knew they were going to do this to me @The Pits there is a good deal of temptation not helped by a visit to Snows this week for some warranty work. The £100K barrier is a big jump though and to be honest I have not grown out of the 410 yet - it still excites! Strangely though am being drawn towards the Exige - my next change could be a 380.....

Hilarious. Since we met earlier in the year and swapped cars I've ordered a Sport 410 and now you're looking at an Exige!

I think we all test drive Lotus cars at our peril!

:D

congratulations MARK ALLIN.....very exciting.....but you musn't tease everyone like this....what are your specs and colours!  As an Exige Cup man i anticipate some track work? There were only 6 430's allocated to the UK so how many left, you must have some feedback for us from Lotus Silverstone team....410 taking off and now the 430 wave beginning....just WOW

Many congratulations Mark, it will truly be a rare and special thing. We need to cook up some suitably epic adventures for it in 2018. I'm changing your name to Mark All-in! Thanks for sharing it with us all here. Top man.

Good man Mark. It's going to be super exciting to spec the car..... I'm all over the place at the moment but slowly trying to focus in on my ideal car. I don't believe there is a rush for us to finalise spec just yet so we can take our time.

Are you planning on visiting the factory to see the build ongoing? I "believe" I was no.1 UK order - not sure if that is going to be car 1 of 60 off the line (depends on whether they build LHD first I guess).... so hoping that a November build will fit with me getting a trip to the factory. I'm also hoping for a factory hand-over/ collection if they are still offering that as an option...... but will be trailering the car back to Scotland as roads likely to be covered in salt by December :)

Anthony...didn't know you had ordered a 430...so a belated congrats to you...i think the 430 will end up a legendary Lotus...would be awesome if you were allocated build no.1....factory pick-up must surely be available,i would insist!

Hoping it is legendary... but then even if it's not it ticked all my boxes: I've owned a V6S, Komotec Evora S (430) and I've got a an Elise 250 Cup right now..... in my eyes the GT mixes the best bits of all of those cars into 1 unique package. So excited :)

So,Anthony & Mark, you are now in the awful situation of having to finalise the spec on your cars.....what torment!  Unfortunately i am not in the market for a 430 unless my numbers come up,but i have been looking at the options,so what would i choose....not so much actually  1) air con  2) sound insulation  3) full alcantara pack(no cost option).  Silver wheels for me.  Paint needs to be worthy so a specialist (expensive) chromatic red. Possible that Lotus may be unwilling to do this in which case standard metallic paint and than a ex-factory vinyl wrap. Seems that all 6 of the UK allocation may be sold anyway.....so it's purely theoretical in more ways than one....

I like the 430 front and back a little more than the 400/410, but I think 400/410 look better form the side. Picture of mine from a Cars and Coffee this month.

You should duck over to the Introductions area and say hi in there as well. :)

Like Anthony my spec is all over the place so far.  Definitely aircon, sound deadening, alcantara, bar and harnesses.  Maybe Daytona Blue if they can with black wheels.  Or something based on the Essex Esprit with silver wheels.  Or something else!

You know that they've done an Essex blue Evora (with silver wheels), don't you? It was called the Hethel edition. Ask @CocoPops for photos.
