JayEmm 1,272
I am equally pleased and amazed to see 430s in the wild so fast, given how long it took the 410 to go from announcement to production Quote James Martin (JayEmm) Director of Photography & Car Enthusiast Follow my Lotus adventure online! www.jayemm.com
Gold FFM C8RKH 6,254 Posted October 3, 2017 Gold FFM Report Share Posted October 3, 2017 Hope the seats don't squeak! Only joking......... farook 39
Wow - that's really quick. Great over delivery - well done Lotus! Congrats Mark! The colour looks amazing ? mik 376
Fast delivery indeed. Both of these seem to have the wiper parking in the conventional as opposed to the "touring car" position?
NedaSay 835
Well that is extremely fast unveil to market. Lotus is wasting no time, As JayEmm said it is kind of amazing in a way, pretty sure they learned loads while engineering the Sport 410 and the GT430 is a more refine version of that car so it is not so surprising... Maybe. The potential good news is that they must have reached their targeted number of orders to launch production this quickly.

Do you get to choose one or the other? Or is this something that changed since the original car was shown?
DaveC72 779
Seeing these cars being delivered has genuinely put a smile on my face. They both look epic, but that blue is just stunning. Deeply envious - but in a good way. Enjoy!

Or is this something that changed since the original car was shown? Lotus decided against it for customer cars. Same goes for the 380 Cup. Having seen a 380 Cup with central wiper I can confirm that it looks cool. Having sat in the same car I can confirm that it would be annoying to live with. It's the right move to revert to a more conventional position. But I might park mine up with the wiper in the middle every now and then!

Ccd 115
Do we have any indication of what variant of the 430 will be offered in the US and what the price will actually be? Also when it will be available in the US?
The Pits 4,408
Well things are forging ahead at some pace up at Hethel. It looks like mine will be here sooner than I was expecting. Could be a lot sooner, will know more in the next few weeks! I think once again, as per the Sport 410, the modest power increase will be a distraction. The prospect of a lighter 410 with uprated brakes, Ohlins, wider tyres and a full aero kit is mouthwatering already. If it feels usefully quicker in a straight line I'll take that as the cherry on top. As a minor detail it looks like they are coming through with the strips either side of the carbon front access panel in body colour now. Wasn't sure at first, quite liked it black there to match the A pillars but think it looks quite good now. The press 'Sport' version still had black either side of the access panel. Be interesting to see how Mark's car is finished.
