ByJoveByJingle
Wow, either Lotus Silverstone has a Wendy’s level salty social media rep, or they don’t realize just how (in)appropriate their emoji game is.

In Oct16 a friend did an unofficial 2.35 in a black 675LT. He's insured and has experience.. You might also have also seen a Speciale do some average laps... (it wasn't mine, damp in places and I can't afford £350k so couldn't risk stacking it into Blanchimont, that's my excuse anyway!). Even without trying it put my little SC to shame.. 605bhp, you just accelerate away from everything even if you're half speed through the bends! As @Trevsked says, doubt very much 15secs off to post a 2.40, but I'd love to hear of it happening

anthonyyule
Massive spec. Its got the upgraded Appleplay stereo too which is really nice. is it just me or does the exhaust tip actually look purple in those pics?
LotusLeftLotusRight
Looks stunning, but are you sure it's correct to call it "Empire Green"? The original LC/LO colour was "Imperial Green".
The Pits
Nope looks very purple to me too. Lovely in Empire Green, the darkest green in the world. Works well with silver wheels and wingstays. Also the silver accent stripes which I only just noticed. Will look even better on a bright day. Possibly a missed opportunity for a green and silver twin stitch inside? @LotusLeftLotusRight The Lotus Carlton was Imperial Green. I believe Empire Green this is as close as they can get with modern water based paints. Similar to modern Essex Blue it's very close to the 1980 colour but not exactly the same.

Snoopy1969
@Arregueti your car has a different Color (i guess, the green metallic MY 12 upwards) ?
Black Forest Power
I propose to make exactly this GT430-Spec to become 007’s new tool – certainly with some necessary option packs – instead of the semi-official dealt Aston Martin Vantage 1

I think it suits the car very well, making it look like a stealth fighter or a classy GT car, depending on the light. I can only imagine how characterful it must look in the 430 with that big wing breaking the lines.

The Pits
It’s got no realistic chance of ‘beating’ the GT3 but hopefully some of the GT430’s great qualities will shine through in a back to back test. Being available to buy at list price (if only just) is a plus! My prediction is that the GT3 is praised for the engine, head and shoulders above the Evora V6 (along with most other engines on sale). No real weak areas in the package now but hopefully the Evora will expose the EPAS 4 wheel steering system to some degree. Fair play to Porsche if they’ve managed to get an EPAS system that stands up to the Evora’s but this will be a proper test at long last. Latest GT3 is said to have the best EPAS on sale so it will be interesting to see how far it’s come. Hopefully there are road and track miles involved and a fair assessment made of both cars. Given Porsche won the last twin test between the Sport 410 and Nissan GTR I have my doubts but hope to be pleasantly surprised.
