stephenwhyte
Was never a fan of stripes - but my new Evora came with stripes and I must admit I really like them and think they work.......but they’re quite subtle. But generally and this goes for the ones pictured above, I would say they’re a visual challenge..

They look lovely Stephen, as you you say subtle, you could almost describe them as ghost stripes, the Evora as a classy motor, that class is easily lost when people get carried away.
stephenwhyte
They compliment the wheels - if the wheels were black I don’t think the stripes would work. The wheels are actually 2 tone......very subtle, like the stripes. When I think stripes normally......I think Viper.

The white viper stripes of the eighties and nineties were great back then but times move on.

Mine is carbon grey, so not sure what colour stipes. Black, silver or if I was daring, brown to match the cocobolo leather interior....

Snoopy1969
@tim_marra indeed.......(I never get tired seeing this subtle combination, often thought IF someone had mentioned the possibility to order a stripe like that I might have been v e r y interested - but in 2012 I was lucky to get the car at all finally - remembering that the build were delayed because of the shut down of the production, but well, your car is also a 2012, so better communication in your case, top car!) stephenwhyte
Totally agree @tim_marra - I liked the idea of the stripes on the Evora I had.....but if I had done the stripes myself I would have gone darker so it was much more subtle but still broke up all the black. The ones as pictured above on my old car were a tad flat-grey. That said I liked the way the stripes at the back ended up the same width as my private plate, taken from the S4s👌 I ended up with this car more by circumstance than something planned as I swapped my Esprit S4s for it. The idea being, it was easier to shift this way for the money I needed to get to the end goal of buying an Exige. I then sold the Evora to a guy who’d enquired previously when it had been for sale by the guy I swapped with - funny how things work out sometimes. I look forward to seeing which way you @jep & @LotusFella go with the striping👍

I could tell you a whole story about pre ordering mine, 2011, being fobbed off with an offer of stock na's, not being allowed the coulor I wanted, Lotus not having the wheels in stock, etc etc. Finally after months and much argie bargie I got my car. It was worth arguing for.
