interior color codes

Recommended Posts

My seats are in urgent need of refurbishment, and I have found a local guy who does good quality work for a very good price.

Before ordering the materials, I want to make sure I have the correct color, so the new seats match the existing interior parts. Unfortunately there is no indication of the color in the owners manual or on the car ID-tag. So I'm trying to find out the name and/or code of the beige used on a '89 SE. Anybody  have any ideas? Maybe the old sales brochure mention the different color options?

Greetz,

Filip

Now I only ave to figure out if it's a discolored shade of 'sand' or darkened 'magnolia'...

Just upgrade to gold - then get a COP - that’ll tell you ??

I've been pondering that for some time, but if I do, I'd get the COP for the Elan JPS, not my 'workhorse' Esprit. ;-)

Hi Filip.

It is difficult:

This is an example of magnolia if I may believe the sellers information. It looks like your interior colour?

Filip.

I am searching the net, but it is difficult to find information.

Look at this car :

Roger Perry states it is a magnolia interior. I can see he also has the red stitches, as in your interior. Look at the seats, before repaint. It looks a bit as your colour?

Upgrade twice - and ask @Bibs for two valet kits ??

Geert, thanks for looking into it! And sorry for my late reply, I somehow managed to miss the updates on this topic...

I did some searching as well and am convinced the Magnolia is a lighter color than what I have. So it would have to be sand. I've ordered a sample and we'll take it from there.

Finding the foam stuffing might prove even more difficult I fear.

Greetz,

Filip
