Roberto Esprit 1
During that video I made how to repair the leather I didnt realize that I got the wrong bottle of cleaner. It took the shine off from the leather and I have been applying lanolin and mink oil to no avail... Wax What is the stuff they use as a clear?
andydclements 814
That age of car may well have been a water-based pigment coat and sealer, compared to earlier cars which used a cellulose-based pigment for which Lanolin etc is the normal item. Places such as furniture clinic, do repair kits which are water-based, so I'd guess their sealant would be suitable.
Roberto Esprit 1
Am I wrong to think I should just strip the whole section and re seal it? I know that the paint is acrylic.
andydclements 814
I'd suggest that if it's just the sealing coat and just for part of it, leave what's still good.
