Gold FFM Barrykearley 7,180 Posted January 24, 2018 Author Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 24, 2018 Yes it is - but the clutch is different on the s4s and S300 Quote Only here once
Chillidoggy 4,473
What's the difference between the two bearing assemblies, length-wise? Quote Margate Exotics.
Gold FFM Barrykearley 7,180 Posted January 26, 2018 Author Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 26, 2018 It’s about 5mm longer on the nose. The spacer shim is just so the bearing fits in the same shell as the standard one. Quote Only here once
Chillidoggy 4,473
I imagine 5mm translates into more than that at the slave cylinder end. I wonder whether the slave would be within its operating window with a plus of minus 5mm at the crank centreline? Quote Margate Exotics.
Gold FFM Barrykearley 7,180 Posted January 26, 2018 Author Gold FFM Report Share Posted January 26, 2018 I need to find the little rod - I know I had that somewhere safe which has translated into lost. Was looking at the bar in my tap set earlier and thinking that looked absolutely perfect for the application ? 1 Quote Only here once
Chillidoggy 4,473
It’s 85 and 130 between the bearing centre and the pushrod point in the release arm so by that, the 5mm translates into 8mm-ish at the slave end. If you can’t find the push rod, I’m sure the dimensions are on TLF somewhere. 1 Quote Margate Exotics.
MrDangerUS 136
Push rod is 100mm on S4s. Very good thread!
