Yup, had 12 lovely days with the car. Cup 2's are not ideal winter tyres btw...

LHD?

Lotus use LHD for press cars as it's easier for Euro journalists to drive them. They struggle to drive a RHD as the gears are on their weaker hand, whereas it's pretty easy to drive LHD for us.

So Europeans and Brits favour their right arms for certain tasks then?

You've had a pretty good test run in a variety of weather conditions that's for sure.  I can relate to the weather here in Norfolk today, I took my Evora out yesterday but not today!

You did well making it to Hethel today, I wonder how many other mid-engine sports car cope OK in the snow.

"The Beast from the East".  And no, I was not referring to the car!  :harhar:

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

Nope. It already had £9k in extras, speccing the dampers would have priced it very similarly to a GT430 Sport so realistically it's not a configuration anyone would order I'd have thought. I've driven a GT430 briefly with them and they are magical though, I do wish it had had them fitted.

The carbon sports seats are standard, the Sparco's in that car are £3.5k and the rest of the cost was the £5.5k Ti exhaust.

Ah, thought the 9k included the wheels. They're also a cost option?

Those are the standard wheels I am sure. Re read the article as all your answers are in there to those questions :harhar:

I really like the GT410. Ohlins and air con are the only extras I'd go for so £91k ish. Seems like a good deal to me.

Also seems like you could save £5k on the suspension as it is already damn good from @Bibs write up. I would not ve paying £3.5k for those seats and are the really worth £5k plus (if you factor in the cost of the carbon buckets)? Not to me anyway. :driving:

31mpg average is very impressive. Best I saw while running-in the GT430 was 26mpg.

Though shame on me for even caring!

"To finish this particular GT410 off, it was fitted with ultralight forged 19″ and 20″."

My question was whether these ultralight wheels were standard.

Yes they are the standard wheels for a 410. Lotus really pushed Rimstock on lightness, so much so you need to spec the stronger, heavier, wider GT430 wheels or the heavier Evora 400 wheels (no cost option) if you want a 2+2 version.

Re the Sparco Seats, are these the same as in GT430, as I thought someone has said  these are same seats as Evora 400,just retrimmed. .  Confused,

Great write up Bibs, I’m sure I’ll have one in a years time

No I believe they are the same as the 400's Sparco's. The GT430's are carbon fibre shelled.

However they cost the same to spec at £3500 so you'd hope they'd be carbon too. Otherwise it seems very unreasonable to charge that for the same seats that come as standard on a £75k E400.

I was a bit hasty with that, I will double check the spec as tested tomorrow. I didn't put a 'Price as Tested' in the review as I hadn't 100% been told but will confirm for sure tomorrow the exact options fitted and final price.
