Limitations due to Certifications

Recommended Posts

Am I correct in assuming that all Evoras coming into the USA will have 400 hp and the same gearing so as to avoid the costs of re-certification?  IOW, the “410” and the “430” in the US will still have 400hp and the same gearing as the 400, but have tweaks to the suspension and options to reduce weight (carbon fiber, etc)???

Safe to assume that the Sport 410's 2017 and 2018 versions came in certified as 400's but with a CF and suspension a Sport Package option, we didn't even get the interior door panels changed as that would have triggered crash testing again.  I doubt anyone in the know at Lotus will speak up about engine spec's for the mid-year introduction of the GT cars.   As to gearing, the 410 and 430's already have the same ratios as in the 400.
