sellman
Just looking at the winace range of products on hethalsports site in the US. Saw this: http://hethelsport.com/exterior/rear-bumpers/rear-diffuser-extension/ I personally think it looks quite a good option for us N/A drivers which are after an S look rear end without the expense of replacing all of the diffuser componants with S ones...... I also prefer the fact that it keeps the flush diffuser that the N/A models have fitted... Any thoughts or interest in this guys??
Bravo73
FYI, if you don’t want to go direct to Malaysia, the UK distributor for Win Ace products is @YvoTuk‘s elise-shop.com.
agentdr8
I have a 5-element Difflow on my NA. I think it looks nice, but it does occasionally scrape if you come out of driveways at the wrong angle.
Brendonian
@YvoTuk's elise-shop.com appears to have a really nice option: http://www.elise-shop.com/rear-diffuser-extender-in-grp-evora-na-p-503316.html I'm not a fan of the upper part of the standard diffuser surround (where the reversing sensors are fitted), so this looks like the best option around. However, they can't supply a picture of it actually installed on a car. I'm actually beginning to wonder if they've got the wrong photos in the shop page. IMO the WinAce option looks a little too 'busy' in the pictures as it retains the original metal grilles behind it. I think it would look great if they were removed, and with wire mesh stuck on the back of the openings.
YvoTuk
Guys, the pictures on the website are of the actual product, I've taken them myself in our own studio..

Brendonian
@Bravo73 I'm sorry I wasn't very clear. I was referring to the WinAce option discussed further up this thread. The one I've linked to is very different in design. I guessed it would also be made by WinAce, but I've yet to see that confirmed.
Brendonian
@YvoTuk no offence intended. I just wondered if you might have got the pictures mixed up with this Exige one: http://www.elise-shop.com/380-sport-rear-diffuser-in-grp-exige-v6-p-503317.html Which actually looks a lot more like the image you sent me, and those on the hethelsport website. You are looking at the same part.
Brendonian
@Bravo73 I'm very confused. You're telling me that these two images represent the same part?

YvoTuk
I'll have another chat with CK tomorrow to make sure they're not mixed up

YvoTuk
Right.. just had a chat with CK. The images on the website have indeed been swapped. Where I thought the two separate bits were for the V6 Exige, CK confirmed they are for the Evora. We'll swap the images and more importantly, we'll swap the labels on the products. Thanks for the tips!
Brendonian
@YvoTukThanks for clearing that up.
Registered
They look good but are pricey. How are these installed? Are they bolted on or glued on? Can installation be done without the need to pay a dealer/specialist to do it? I may buy one.

They are a bolt on upgrade, not sure if you need to drill holes in the undertray or not but getting the rear undertray is an easy job..... providing there are no corroded bolts, I replaced all the rear diffuser bolts with stainless ones and allways copper grease the threads on the bolts when refitting, it makes the job a load easier afterwards. electro_boy
Looks pretty good but I think I prefer the look of a Diflow diffuser. Anyone know how much they cost imported into the UK after all the taxes etc .. ?
Gold FFM Alfa2Evora Posted March 10, 2018 Gold FFM Report Share Posted March 10, 2018 @electro_boy I looked at getting a Difflow a while back but by the time I'd factored in shipping, import duty and VAT the price had almost doubled to about £750. In the end, I had one custom-built by a motorsport fabricator in Leicestershire - in fact, my car was used as the development mule to produce the pattern for a small production run. Unfortunately, he has put this side of his business on hold for now but I've messaged him to see if he might still have one 'in stock'. I'm sorry if I raise your hopes needlessly but here are the details I posted at the time:
Gold FFM Cdm2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Gold FFM Report Share Posted March 11, 2018 Reading this thread what is the conclusion ? I like to get this rear diffuser but not at silly money or find its more pain in terms of running a ground on speed humps etc ? Alfa2evora who is the Leicestershire fabricator ? I am wondering if it was Steve at SA he did my barge boards a couple of weeks ago?
Gold FFM Alfa2Evora Posted March 11, 2018 Gold FFM Report Share Posted March 11, 2018 @Cdm2018 The very same!
electro_boy
@Alfa2Evora thank you for looking into this, appreciate it buddy. Sorry for the late response, I've been flying about a lot for work and ski hols, no time to sit and reply to car forums.
sellman
Right, I've finally bitten the bullet and ordered the diffuser extender from Yvo this morning so once it arrives I'll get some pictures of the diffuser installed. Hopefully getting a new exhaust tip fitted to the Plack at the same time so will keep you up-to-date once it's all done. 😎
Gold FFM Alfa2Evora Posted March 22, 2018 Gold FFM Report Share Posted March 22, 2018 @electro_boy Haven't forgotten about you mate. The guy who manufactured these diffusers isn't down at his workshop all that often at the moment but he has promised to check his stock and let me know first opportunity he gets. sellman
Finally got round to fitting the winace diffuser extender from Elise shop. I have to say the quality is excellent it really adds that extra something the NA has always needed I think. Really pleased.
