deanb
Another week has passed and we have passed the 70 cars mark 😊 That's over 70 cars booked and paid on to the event, and we still have two months to go! In other LitP news Peak Rail, our 2018 hosts, have generously donated rides on the footplate of both their classic diesel and steam locomotives to the raffle - very exciting! deanb
LitP has been very well supported by businesses within the Lotus community over the years and that continues. Most of the companies in the prize list have donated in previous years, with some - including Hangar 111 and Unit 4 - donating in every year of the event's existence. We are hugely grateful 😁 and reckon it says something about the type of people that are Lotus people. To add to the list mloc member Daveb has donated a mounted and framed limited edition screen print of the 2016 LitP poster (the one with the white s1 Esprit). It looks great! Thanks Dave. Oh, and we have over 75 cars booked and paid for the event now, which is better than forecast. We really could be on for our best year yet! If you fancy it pop across to the mloc shop. deanb
Another week and another 12 cars booked on - we had 87 at the last count 2 days ago which is great 😊 We want more though - and there are still a few models that are under-represented so if you are the proud owner of a rare-beast Lotus please come along! We are looking for Elites (old and newer), Europas (old and newer), Sevens (original Lotus only though), Eclats, Elevens, Cortinas, Sunbeams, Carltons, and of course the latest GT430 Evoras and Exige. That is not to say that we don't want you if you have a k series series 2 Elise (like me!) because we absolutely do. The more the merrier! Phil S1
Once again, at LitP 2018 we will be having a competition for 'Car of The Day' as chosen by you. All attendees on the day will receive a voting slip which we kindly ask you to complete and hand in during the morning. There are no competition rules other than the car must be a Lotus, previous winners have been both classic and new, ranging from an Eleven to an Exige Sprint. This year we expect the competition to be hotter than ever with the promise of some stunning restorations as well as some of the latest and greatest to have exited the Hethel factory! There will be trophies for the top three cars, sponsored once again by PJS Sports Cars. The overall winner will also receive a bottle of Champagne courtesy of MLOC member Elisemadray. So, book your LitP tickets now and look out for the voting slip within the welcome pack you'll receive on the day

deanb
The LitP organising team have had a closer look at the costs of putting the event on this year and we are now able to reduce the cost per car for those that attend Peak Rail only to £5. The cost for the full day's fun, including the organised runs, remains £10 (£9 for fully paid-up mloc members) which we are confident is good value for a day's entertainment. It might take a day or two to reconfigure the mloc shop to reflect this change so please bear with us. Anyone that has already booked for Rowsley only can choose a £5 refund or £5 worth of raffle tickets. Thank you! deanb
Update on this - in the mloc shop the cost of attending at Peak Rail Rowsley remains £10 (£9 for full mloc members) but with £5 worth of raffle tickets thtown in. We decided in the end to drop the prize to a fiver would cause confusion in the shop. We hope that's ok! Our advice though is to join in the runs - that's the best bit!
