Hi from London

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Dropping in to introduce myself and also share my story so far.

I currently drive a 981 Cayman GTS and whilst I adore the car, my agreement is coming to an end in October. Before I decide to re-finance the balloon & keep the GTS, I shortlisted and test drove a few contenders, including the M2 and C63. Nether gave me what I was looking for - a sense of occasion and a real engaging drive. The last 2 cars on the shortlist are a TTRS and an Evora 400 - the latter I’ve booked a test drive at Silverstone in a few weeks. As context I also drove the Exige 350 a month ago - a very capable machine but too raw for my needs.

I came across this forum and from reading some threads it seems like a nice community and wanted to share my journey with you guys.

Thanks and I’ll keep you posted on the test drives!

V

I've had my 400 for a few months, had a 350 sport previously and for my needs the 400 is brilliant, took a TVR owning mate to a driving day at north Weald yesterday, he was astonished at how civilised it was for the 300 mile round trip, and how capable it was on the sprint course, you'll love it

I love my 400. It will be good to have more lotuses in London!

The evora should be a lot more practical than a cayman with the extra space. I use mine to go to the golf course.

This is a proper sports car which the others on your list are not really, they are more like luxury muscles car so if you are looking for a sports car, that will be down to the evora and the cayman.

Best of luck with your trials.

Welcome to TLF V. :welcome:

I think you're going to love the 400. It seems to have converted quite a few people on here. (Not that they needed help really.)

Any questions or issues with using the forums, feel free to ask one of us mods. We're here to help. :)

Update: TTRS was a nice drive. A sporty car that is rapid, but unfortunately doesn’t drive and feel like a true sports car. Nor does it feel special enough.

Test drove the hethel edition auto at Silverstone yesterday. Was blown away by it. The Evora is my next car...time to sell the Cayman :)

You like black then :hrhr:

The Hethel Edition Auto is the pick of the bunch and of course I am not biased in any way.

Do it. Phenomenally well made car. Even better than the S1 and I NEVER EVER thought I would say that.

Unfortunately a new 410 is out of budget!

There are some good deals to be done on the 410 Sport's that are in stock.

I'm sure. First step is to sell Cayman then I can explore the best deals as I'll be in a position to buy

Maybe you should stop by Hexagon as they should be able to look at both sides of the trade and hopefully they can make you less reasonable...
