wildatheart 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2018 Hi Everyone, One of the screws of the rearview mirror is not grabbing so I'd like to get the digital clock out so I can have a look to see what the screw is(n't) screwing into - but I can't seem to get the clock out without risking the surrounding leather. Should I just wiggle and persevere?
ramjet 811 Report post Posted March 20, 2018 No? The white shouldn't mark the lining as much as a black one.
CarBuff 111 Report post Posted March 20, 2018 Aren't there Posidrive screws underneath the sun visors? If you remove those, you can tilt the header panel down a bit without detaching (un-gluing) the fabric. These screws are quite long...note the angle to aid in reassembly. Then (from the windscreen side) you can hold the Nyloc nuts that the mirror's fixing screws engage, with a smallish wrench...and the mirror screws will tighten, snugly. The challenging bit is to find where the hidden screws want to attach. Lotus mounted the rearview before fitment in the car...
ramjet 811 Report post Posted March 21, 2018 Well, you could try that as well, I suppose, if my idea doesn't work. I was first................
