Lovely indeed mate - I too am currently guilty of this crime but equally desperate to get it going again. Love it in Silver and I've always loved those S2/S2.2 Speedlines......

well done Roddy,

Enjoy it , I too have an 1980 S2.2.

I am infact curious how many of those 88 examples are still on the road these days after 38 years. I hope a lot are saved. They have the pure S2 shape, but they also received a galvanized chassis, not to mention the more torque 2.2 engine. Even when going to a lotus meeting, The chance of parking next another S2.2  are 0. Unique and beautiful balanced car.

Well done on taking the plunge and getting her sorted :)

I'm equally guilty - Mine's been sitting for more than 6 years. But..... Booked in on the 18th to a specialist to be recommissioned! I have come to the same conclusion, it's really gonna hurt the wallet - have no doubt about it, but looking forward to getting some enjoyment out of my Esprit again.
