Hi Graeme - I think your options are to take the car to a trimmer and ask them to add more foam (Probax is very good and used by Lotus) under the leather or to buy one of these or similar...

Demon tweeks do a pneumatic lumbar support that fits behind the cushion (recaro used to do a similar one which I had in my old 968) it's a bladder with a small hand pump so you can fine tune how much support you get.

Some ideas, to investigate,  since i posted the question Ive found the trim from the 400 seats is easy to release from the back lower part of the seat, so a piece of shaped foam may just do the trick, just need to identify the correct density, will report further
