DT 350
Lotus silverstone now have in a new 410 and new 350 which I didn't realise was getting the same new front bumper, from the 430/410. I was pretty disappointed that the salesman seemed to know less about the car than me.. 🙈 Images in links below: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VJJn-MpphsxrH8Q4XSih37irydtPS4Oa https://drive.google.com/open?id=1T4K-2L0WKjXnWq0D8A0g_Lhp0_OHg7ue 410 - (scratty looking) Engine bay https://drive.google.com/open?id=19NFVu1EJkhkn7Z_CvzDuwnLdOoeXcUMX 350 - Engine Bay https://drive.google.com/open?id=1d229qdd06uZobifmw5XQYq0_4j35RBBu Edited June 13, 2018 by DT

Just as well they’ve ditched the glass hatch so you don’t have to look at it. 😁
DT 350
I agree i'm not a fan of it silver, looks unfinished. I take it they didn't consult any of there customers when considering changing this.
suffolk009
I'm not a fan of plastic trims in engine bays. I preferred the black supercharger, and it definitely needs a Lotus Performance plaque.

Nope - it would have been done to save a few quid per car - no idea how much it would cost to have it painted black from the mfr, but would guess at most £20 per unit and it does look crap in silver as does the chargecooler now in silver with the black lid. When i got my Evora 410 and looked into the engine bay I have to say I was very disappointed to see the silver charge cooler with the black cover. Just looked cheap. However, has now impact on the driving of the car and is quickly forgotten about. Quote Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate. Meh! NOTHING in this world is as addictive as an Evora +0. chumaxa
Not a surprise really is it, I thought Lotus would wait 1 year, change 0.1% on wheel camber, and announce the new Exige ..

alexthewheelman
It was too closely priced to the Cup 430 so makes a lot of sense to lower it
SFO
doesn’t the new lower price mean less spec?
vd9
13 minutes ago, SFO said: doesn’t the new lower price mean less spec? At the risk of being called a moaner, they probably just removed £10k worth of parts (at Lotus option list pricing) and reduced the base price by £6k - pure win win. With that in mind, though, those who bought recently or will buy cars from stock are in a good position and it is a fairly classy move (should also help to clear the potentially significant stock) Edited July 23, 2018 by vd9
KJD
“Re-aligning” the price does no harm, and the retrospective refund is great, but... Removing the rose-tinted specs, could this be viewed as a way of shifting some forecourt stock before then selling a car (realistically) worth £75k for £85k, instead of one worth £80k for £90k (once the carbon and Nitrons are gone). Sorry for the injection of cynicism, but it’s still too expensive compared to what you get in a 350 Sport for £60k.
