Popular Post Rambo
Back in April last year I picked up my copper fire Evora from Craig Moncrieff in Edinburgh. On the drive home I called to fill up with Shell's best bevvy in Jedburgh. A 30's something blonde babe (not many of them in Jed. 🤥) came rushing over and said "Oh wow, I love your car. The exhaust sounds great and I love that metallic colour and stripes. How long have you had it? I looked at my watch and said "about 65 minutes" I can only describe her next squeal of delight as positively orgasmic 😅 3

I take my mother shopping and she insists on going to Waitrose. I just shake my head in despair when I see how much more she is paying just for the "name". To me, an Evora does 8/10ths of what a McLaren 570 does for less than 50% of the price. A bargain. I do admit though, a McLaren would be a nice thing to have as that extra 2 tenths would be sensational to experience I suspect. Aldi gives you 9/10ths of Waitrose for half the price and the Waitrose extra tenth does not make it sensational. 1 Quote Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate. Meh! Popular Post Rambo
Not an Evora, but I was at Castle Combe several years ago with my head deep in the boot of my black M100 (probably looking for some beer cans 😉) when I heard a voice saying "lovely shiny black car you've got" When I turned round and looked up Mike Kimberley was standing there 👍 When I introduced myself as Rambo and shook hands MJK said "great name, great car"
Gold FFM Popular Post Alfa2Evora Posted March 8 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted March 8 As it was a nice day on Sunday, I took the Evora for my daily hospital visit. However, I had a few things that I needed to pick up for Jennifer so a stop at the retail park was required en route. Luckily, it wasn't too busy so I was able to occupy one of my favoured spots away from the cluster of boy-racer Corsas, Golfs, et al that always seem to frequent the Halfords end of the car park. However before I'd even got out of the car, one of their number had approached on foot and was almost forensically examining my P&J from front to back. As I stepped out, I got the comment; "Wow, nice Ferrari mate. Not seen one in blue before." "Really?!?!" was all I could muster as a reply. OK, so the clue in the reg number might need a second glance to sink in and some (but not all) of the Lotus references are on the small side, but come on, there are enough of them don't you think, . 2
Popular Post LotusLeftLotusRight
True, but you’re making the massive assumption that this retail park hero can actually read. 🤣 1
Rambo
We have those "Ferrari" neds up in Kelsae too 🤔 I was, however, rather flattered when I was up in Edinburgh at the Gallery of Modern Art. Not a ned but one of the security guys who came across to find me in the car park. Thinking I had contravened something I asked him if there was a problem. No, he said. "I just wanted to say your Lotus sounds just like a McLaren" I actually thought that was a compliment and we chatted a bit more about cars. At the end he said "Have a good day. And, by the way, free parking for Lotus and McLaren's" 👍

au-yt
Does any one else had cars do a "Remora" effect ( cars sicking close by to get a view or picture) when there driving?
Gold FFM TdM Posted March 11 Gold FFM Report Share Posted March 11 I've mentioned it before, but some people tend to stare with their mouths open and forget to drive. I've had on a few occasions people 'drifting' towards me whilst staring at the car, it's disconcerting to say the least.
