Popular Post Nathan Pitman
So, today on a drive back from dropping one of my girls off at a friends I took the long way home, through a few miles or so of twisty A roads (with nothing in sight) and took the opportunity to get to know the car in sport mode using the paddle shift. Up until now (four weeks in) I’ve intentionally not touched the paddles, I wanted to get to know the cars dimensions and be comfortable in it first. Well, what can I say. Unbelievable. On twisty sections it’s just divine, addictive and so rewarding. What a car... I really had to get home and start dinner but I was so tempted to just call the kids and say “daddy’s going on a road trip, will be back once I run out of road or tyres”. I lusted after the Evora because I think it’s a beautiful piece of automotive design but now I think I’m falling in love with it all over again thanks to it’s ride and handling. If you’re here as a prospective owner as I once was, all I can say is that this car will surprise and reward you not only from every angle but also on every corner.

True fact: my girlfriend is a police officer. 8 minutes ago, Dan E said: your right though Lotus get under your skin and only today I found out Porsche have made tractors, argument finished, well not as I await @C8RKH comments You’re not kidding. I’m stood here cooking dinner and all I can think of is picking up the keys and going back out there. Lamborghini started out making tractors too. The story of how they came to be a car manufacturer is rather interesting.

Currently without a Lotus, Evora 400 Hethel Edition in Racing Green with Red leather and 2010 Evora N/A in Laser Blue and 1983 Lotus Excel LC Narrow body in Ice Blue all sadly gone. DJW
Did IOM last year with s9s crew, in the E400 auto. Was up on the mountain at 6am every morning and 130+ mph runs felt ace. Just make sure you have front plate fitted as police are giving tickets vs last year's friendly stop to make you fit one Do miss that car. Could do with a Blue Hethel edition Auto 1 1 Quote Previously owned :Exige 380, Exige 350, Evora 400, Exige V6S, Esprit GT3, 2-11 SC, Evora S, Elite
Gold FFM Steve V8 Posted June 1, 2018 Gold FFM Report Share Posted June 1, 2018 Oh to be a traffic officer on the Isle of Man, what a job that must be.... Apart from the shoveling up of mangled motorcyclists that is...
Colin P
We had a good relationship with an inspector over there until he retired last year. Used to recount the stories of driving the unmarked Focus STs. He killed the last one responding to an incident after the roads were shut during the 2016 TT. Actually managed to blow the engine up and dump all the oil on the track. 1 Quote Blessed with the competence to be a slave to the incapable. God its like shooting fish in a barrel but really good fun. Need to spark off a Porker comment and that'll really get them frothing.... Glad you're enjoying the car matey and @Colin P runs a mean IoM trip that I can thoroughly recommend. Organisation is top notch. Looking forward to it immensely as nice folk too. This line really resonates with me - the journey of getting to know your car before giving it the beans! Equally - a relief to hear it was a good experience, I thought for the briefest of moments there was going to be an issue haha!
Popular Post EGTE
I have done everything possible to my 996 C2 to make it drive as well as it can, including fitting extremely-expensive Exe-tc suspension and lightweight, forged wheels. It's an utterly superb car by almost every standard. The Evora is better in every way - straight out of the box. That's seriously impressive (and it's why I'm selling the 911....).
