The time has come for me to part with my cherished V8 Esprit after 4 fantastic years of ownership which have brought me nothing but joy.

This is my second Esprit and was purchased as a complement to my 4-cylinder Turbo SE (you can’t only have ONE Esprit!). This particular example I was advised to buy by one of Sweden’s foremost Esprit experts who doesn’t endorse cars lightly. One of the reasons for this is that all previous owners are accounted for and he has been servicing the car exclusively since it arrived in Sweden (the car having originally been purchased by a German dentist). As such the car is a known quantity.

With a V8 it’s important, given the potential pitfalls involved, to find a good example. And this one ticks all the right boxes.

Calypso red with raven grey interior and sporting original AWI Monobloc alloys, the car is immaculate with unmarked bodywork, leather which still smells as it did the day it rolled out of Hethel and a chassis and underside as clean as a whistle. The car has always been garaged indoors in a heated garage, by myself and previous owners, and it shows.

With regards to modifications, well, I haven’t made any. It’s stock as a rock in the mechanicals department.

The petrol tanks have been changed out to ones that don’t rust, courtesy of Axminster Specialist Panels, the brake hoses have been upgraded to braided hoses and the backbox has been replaced by two straight pipes (factory catalysts still present and accounted for). Oh and I upgraded the stereo to a lightweight bluetooth unit, because cassettes aren’t quite in fashion anymore.

The car is available for viewing in Stockholm, Sweden. Stated mileage may increase slightly if the weather is nice.
